IMPORTANT RESERVATION INFORMATION
The Westin Peachtree Plaza and the overflow hotel - the Sheraton Atlanta Hotel -
are SOLD OUT at the official Oireachtas rate. Both hotels may still be available
through online travel sites (such as
Travelocity,
Expedia,
and
Orbitz)
although the rates may be significantly higher than the Oireachtas rate and non-refundable.
If you have not yet booked your hotel reservation, you are urged to do so as soon
as possible. The Oireachtas weekend falls on the same weekend as the Southeastern
Conference Football Championship game which will be held at the Georgia Dome nearby.
This event is expected to draw more than 70,000 spectators for the weekend and as
the event approaches and the teams are finalized, hotel rooms in downtown Atlanta
are expected to be scarce.
In the table below, we have listed the two official Oireachtas hotels as well as
additional hotels in the downtown Atlanta area that may have availability.
Please note that
other than the Westin Peachtree Plaza and the Sheraton Atlanta Hotel, these hotels
have no official relationship to the 2007 Southern Region Oireachtas or IDTANA.
Therefore, no special Oireachtas rate will be available.
